A 30-second ticking timer stresses me the fuck out and I don’t feel like I’m learning anything when I’m racing the clock and don’t have time to consider the options. I bailed on my first lesson because of this.
No worries about the swearing—we all get frustrated with the timer sometimes. After discussing with the team, we're planning to make it inactive by default. That way, you'll have the choice to enable it if you want the extra challenge. How does that sound?
